Fashion Week in New York City is a semiannual trade event presenting the collections of American designers and select International designers. Collections are presented in venues throughout New York City including the tents of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Thousands of journalists, editors, broadcast media crews, bloggers and internet sites join retailers from all over the world. The images, trends, and fashion directions of the upcoming season are presented to buyers, who place orders for selling in their stores, and to the media, which transmits New York City’s fashion talent to a worldwide audience.
Fashion Week in New York City kicks off the global calendar of Fashion Weeks, and is immediately followed by runway shows in London, Milan and Paris.
