I listened intently as several students in my school's Fashion Retail Management program ran the gauntlet of tears to laughter, shock and outrage at hearing of his suicide. I overheard one young idiot girl, remark on how in death he's "wasted talent."
I was outraged beyond silence and may have unintentionally ended the future career of some young know-it-all, who, as it turned out knew absolutely nothing at all...
To say that in death he's wasted his talent show among other things poor taste and ignorance. Every person that dies could've accomplished more, so every death is a wasted life by that logic. The flaw in that logic is apparent, he's immortalized by his works and by the influence he had over entire industries from music to movies even in print. I'd say that's substantial if not epic... So again, where did he waste his talent? Even in death he'll accomplish what most of us couldn't in life...
The King is dead... Long live the King.
